Kadala curry

Ingredients

Chick peas- 1 cup (soaked overnight)
Saras kadala curry masala- 2 tablespoon
Shallots - 5 to 8 sliced
Sliced ginger- 4 to 5 pieces
Pepper powder- 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder- ½ tablespoon
Onion- 2 thinly sliced
Tomato- 1 finely chopped
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Mustard seeds – 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves
Water
Salt to taste

Method of Preparation

Preasure cook the soaked chick peas along with sliced ginger, sliced shallots,
one teaspoon of pepper powder and turmeric powder for about six whistles. Add salt
to taste. Take a pan and heat one tablespoon of oil. Fry some mustard seeds and curry
leaves. Add sliced onion . Saute well. Add ½ tablespoon of coriander powder and 2
tablespoons of Saras kadala curry masala. Saute until the raw smell disappears. Add
