Beef curry

Ingredients

Beef- 1kg
Saras meat masala- 5 tbsp
Coriander powder- 4 tbsp
Chilli powder- 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
Pepper powder- 1 tbsp
Garam masala- 2½ tsp
Ginger- 2 inch piece
Garlic- 12 cloves
Green chillies- 2
Shallots- 25
Curry leaves- 2 strands
Lime juice – 1 tsp
Coconut oil- 3 tbsp
Water- ¾ cup
Salt to taste

Method of Preparation

Take 1 kg of cleaned beef. Pressure cook 1 kg of beef by mixing it with 1 tbsp of coriander
powder, ½tbsp of chilli powder, ½tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of garam masala, 2 tsp of meat
masala, 1 inch piece of chopped ginger, 6 cloves of chopped garlic, 2 chopped green chillies, 1 tsp
of lemon juice, ¾ cup of water and 1½ tsp of salt for 6 to 8 whistles.
Take a pan and heat 3 tbsp of oil. Add 1 inch piece of chopped ginger, 6 cloves of chopped
garlic and 1 cup of sliced shallots. Add salt to taste. Saute well till they become golden brown in
colour. Now add 3 tbsp of coriander powder, ½ tbspn of chilli powder, 1½ tsp of garam masala and
1 tbsp of meat masala. Saute it until the raw smell diasppears. Now add the cooked beef. Mix it
well. Add 3 strands of curry leaves. Cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes. Add ¾ tbsp of pepper
powder. Mix it well. Beef curry is ready.
Note: Add ½ cup of coconut milk for thick gravy and more taste.
