Saras puttu powder- 1/2 kg
Beef- 1/2 to 1kg
Onion- 2 (finely chopped)
Green Chilli- 2(chopped)
Ginger chopped- 1/2 table spoon
Garlic chopped- 1/2 table spoon
Saras turmeric powder- 1 tea spoon
Saras coriander powder- 2 tea spoon
Saras chilli powder- 2 teaspoon
Saras Pepper powder – 1/2 tea spoon
Saras Garam Masala- 1/4 table spoon
Fennel powder- 1/4 tea spoon
Tomato chopped – 1
Grated coconut- 1 cup
Curry Leaves
Oil

Water
Mix 1/2 to1 kg of beef with one teaspoon of turmeric powder and adequate salt. Cook it in a pressure cooker until the meat become soft and tender. Keep aside the beef stalk for making puttu.
Take a heavy-bottomed pan and pour 2 tablespoons of oil. Put the above mentioned
quantities of ginger, garlic, chopped green chillies, curry leaves and chopped onion into the heated oil. Add some salt and saute it well. When it become light brown add Saras turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, pepper powder, fennel powder and garam masala in the above prescribed quantities. Saute for about 2 minutes on low flame till the raw smell diasppears. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until the oil is clear. Add the finely chopped cooked meat and pour some water. Cover and cook it until the gravy is dry. The meat filling is ready now.
In a bowl take Saras puttu powder. Add salt to taste. Mix it well. Sprinkle adequate amount of beef and slowly mix it with rice powder with your fingers. Make sure that there are no big lumps in the flour. Keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
Take your Puttu maker and fill the puttu kutti (cylindrical part) with grated coconut, puttu powder and meat fillings alternatively. Place it over the stove and cook until it is ready. Serve hot.
