Mutton- ½ kg
Saras mutton masala- 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
Chilli powder- 2 tsp
Coriander powder- 1tbsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Pepper powder- 1 tsp
Mustard seeds- ¼ tsp
Red chillies- 2
Ginger- garlic paste- 3 tbsp
Green chilli- 2
Tomato- 1
Onion -1
Shallot- 15 to 20
Oil- 2 tbsp
Curry leaves
Water
Salt to taste
In a pressure cooker add mutton, ½ tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of chilli powder, 1 tsp of
ginger garlic paste, ¼ tsp of pepper powder, 5-6 small onion sliced, 1 tbsp of Saras mutton masala
and salt to taste. Cook for 4-5 whistles.
Take a pan and pour 2 tbsp of oil. Add mustard seeds, 2 red chillies and some curry leaves.
Saute for sometime. Add 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste and 2 green chillies. Saute it well. Add sliced
shallots and chopped onion. Saute until it gets golden brown colour. Add salt to taste. Then add 1
tsp chilli powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp garam masala , ¼ tsp pepper powder and 1 tbsp of
Saras mutton masala. Saute till the raw smell disappears. Add 1 chopped tomato. Cover with a lid
and cook until the oil is clear. Into this add cooked mutton. Thoroughly mix . Roast till the mutton
gets dark brown colour. Pour oil if needed. Garnish it with fresh curry leaves.
