Potato Curry

Ingredients

Potatoes- 2 big
Onion- 2
Green chillies- 3 sliced
Garlic- 3 cloves chopped
Ginger- 1 small piece chopped
Mustard seeds- ½ tsp
Urad dal- 1 tsp
Dried red chillies- 3
Saras vegetable masala- ½ tsp
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Oil- 2 tbsp
Water
Salt as per taste

Method of Preparation

Take a pressure cooker and cook the potatoes by adding ½ cup of water and ¼ tsp of salt.
When it is done, just mash the potatoes slightly and keep it aside.
Take a pan and heat oil. Add ½ tsp of mustard seeds, 1 tsp of urad dal, 3 dried red chillies
and some curry leaves. Saute it well. Add chopped ginger and garlic. When the raw smell
disappears, add chopped onion. Saute until it is soft. Add 1 tsp of turmeric powder and ½ tsp of
Saras vegetable masala. Add salt to taste. Saute for few seconds. Now add the crushed potatoes.
Pour ½ cup of water and mix well. Put the flame off when the gravy gets thick. Garnish with
coriander leaves.
