Raw banana Thoran

Ingredients

Raw banana- 2, peeled and chopped
Shallots sliced- ½ cup
Grated coconut- ¼ cup
Green chilli- 2 sliced
Garlic- 2 cloves
Dried red chilli- 1
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
Saras curry powder- ½ tsp
Coriander leaves- ½ cup
Curry leaves- 1 strand
Coconut oil- 1tbsp
Water
Salt to taste

Method of preparation

Blend ¼ cup of grated coconut , one pinch of salt, 2 sliced green chilli, 2 cloves of garlic,
½ tsp of cumin seeds and ½ cup of coriander leaves in a mixer grinder.
Take a pan and heat 1 tbsp of coconut oil. Put 1 tsp of mustard seeds, 1 red chilli, 1 strand of
curry leaves and ½ cup of sliced shallots. Saute it well. Add ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and ½ tsp of
Saras curry powder. Mix well. Now add 2 raw banana, peeled and chopped. Saute well. Add ¼ cup
of water and salt to taste. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the blended coconut masala. Mix
well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Garnish with curry leaves.
