Tindora Fry (Kovakka fry/ Ivy gourd fry)

Ingredients

Tindora (Kovakka/Ivy gourd)- ¼ kg
Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
Chilli powder- ½ tsp
Saras curry powder- 1 tsp
Mustard seeds- ½ tsp
Urad dal- ¼ tsp
Chopped Onion- 1
Curry leaves
Oil- 3 tbsp
Salt to taste

Method of Preparation.

Put ¼ kg of washed and chopped tindora in a pressure cooker. Add salt to taste. Add ¼ tsp of
turmeric powder, ½ tsp of chilli powder and 1 tsp of Saras curry powder. Cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
Take a pan and heat 1 tbsp of oil. Put ½ tsp of mustard seeds, ¼ tsp of urad dal, 1 strand of curry
leaves, 1 chopped onion and salt to taste. Saute well for 3 minutes. Now add the cooked tindora.
Pour 2 tbsp of oil and fry it until it is crispy.
