In a bowl take Saras puttu powder. Add salt to taste. Mix it well. Sprinkle adequate amount of water and slowly mix it with puttu powder with your fingers. Make sure that there are no big lumps in the flour. Keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
Then, into the puttu, add chopped jackfruit, grated coconut, cumin powder and cardamom powder in the above prescribed quantities. Mix it well. Take your Puttu maker and fill the puttu kutti with the mixture. Steam for about 5 to 10 minutes. Your jackfruit puttu is ready. Serve it hot.
